MACHINE CONFIGURATION/BRIEF DESCRIPTION

TURRET UNWINDER WITH FLYING SPLYCING

Main Features:

Reel Mounting.

Shaft with taper cones (76mm & 152mm) with manual transverse movement for reel alignment.

TENSION CONTROL

TURRET MOVEMENT
An A.C. Motor coupled to double reduction gearbox.

TURRET SPLICING
Through a PLC, the total turret movement & splicing cycle is controlled.

INFEED UNIT
This unit isolates the printing section tension from the unwind zone thereby avoiding transmission of tension variations due to reel condition.

This unit is driven by an independent AC digital drive and the actual tension control is through dancer feedback.


PRINTING UNIT
Printing unit nos. 2-8 are identical, however, a unit no. 1 ( first station), will be individual station and work as electronic line shaft as per your requirement


Unit Description
Each printing unit has a driven spindle on the drive side which can be actuated pneumatically while the idling spindle on the operator side can be adjusted in/out by means of a hand wheel. Both the driven and idling spindles have linear adjustment upto 200 mm. Therefore hollow printing cylinder right from 1300 mm overall length to 900 mm length can be accommodated in each printing station without a shaft.

The impression roller is mounted in C-type brackets which are pivoted on the main frames. The impression roller movement is through a pair of pneumatic cylinders with limits provided for restricting there movement according to the cylinder diameter.

The Doctor Blade unit has provision for movement in three axis. The actual doctoring pressure is through pneumatic cylinder.

The inking system comprises an overflow tray as well as ink pump for circulation along with ink spray nozzle.

Each printing station is equipped with high velocity, hot air, impingement type dryer hood. Each hood is equipped with an inlet blower, I R Heater and temperature indicator.

Printing units 2-8 are equipped with compensator rollers which are driven by slo-syn type motors and the mechanical movement is through frictionless ball screws.

Each printing station is powered by an independent gear box. All the eight gear boxes are connected through line shaft and Zero backlash couplings.

At the exit of each unit drying tunnel, a large diameter chill roller is located. The design of this chill roller is unique so as minimize friction.


OUTFEED UNIT
This unit is identical to the Infeed unit and this unit takes care of tension fluctuations between the last printing station and the rewinder even during splicing.


TURRET REWINDER WITH FLYING SPLYCING
This unit is almost identical to Turret Unwinder expect that the splicing arm also acts as a “Rider” while winding.


DRIVES AND CONTROLS
The machine is equipped with 8 motors AC Digital drives of Siemens make and the total control circuitry as well as the logic controls are from M/s Dynaspede.


PNEUMATIC CONTROLS
All air cylinders, valves, pressure regulators as well as fittings shall be COMOZZI/SMC make.
